Having launched techtimeout in June 2020, this year has been our first full business year and as we head towards its end I find myself reflecting on how far we’ve come. 2021 has been a brilliant year for techtimeout and I am very proud of all that the team has achieved.
Here are some of our highlights:
⭐️Supported hundreds of businesses and thousands of individuals to take on our techtimeout10 challenge to address tech overload
⭐️ Raised the discussion of technology and its impact on health and well-being on national and local levels, including an ITV interview about screen-use during the pandemic
⭐️ Secured over 20,000 screen-free minutes, pledged in our annual techtimeout tuesday campaign, held in November
⭐️Forged new partnerships to provide bespoke support and expertise to diverse sectors, including Student Minds, the UK’s student mental health charity, Aldermont Group and Human Everything
⭐️ Offered work experience placements to over 30 students and seen many of them secure their first roles in sectors ranging from policing to fashion
⭐️Become an accredited supplier to LawNet, the national network of independent law firms
⭐️ Signed our first US customer
⭐️ Stephanie Henson, founder, awarded “The Great British Entrepreneur Awards: Workplace Wellbeing Champion 2021” in recognition of the value she places on the wellbeing of the workforce
⭐️Shortlisted in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2021, in the category “Midlands Health & Wellbeing Entrepreneur of the Year.”
It goes without saying that 2021 has been a lot of hard work and the occasional disappointment but it has also been extremely rewarding. I remain passionate and dedicated to enabling people to have a healthier relationship with technology. Supported by a brilliant team of specialists, we have provided businesses and individuals with the tools and know-how they need to deal with the distractions of an ever increasingly digital world. Never before has the need for a more meaningful relationship with technology been more critical and we are committed to being at the forefront of that revolution.

What can you expect next?
As for what’s next, well we have some very exciting new projects in our pipeline. In 2022, we will continue to develop workplace initiatives for digital wellness and look forward to reaching many more businesses both nationally and internationally. A number of new partnerships will enhance our existing provision and guide the business towards different audiences.
