The theme for this year's Mental Health Awareness Week is around connecting with nature.
Nature is so central to our psychological and emotional health, that it’s almost impossible to realise good mental health for all without a greater connection to the natural world.
during mental health awareness week, we encourage you to do three things:
- Experience nature: Step away from all technology and take a moment to notice and celebrate nature in your daily life. You might be surprised by what you notice!
- Share nature: Join the discussion on how you’re connecting with nature by taking photographs, videos or sound recordings and share them, to inspire others.
- Take a techtimeout in nature: Why not take on the techtimeout10 challenge and help encourage people to step away from technology and find new ways to ‘connect’ with nature in your local environment.
Loving this year's theme as much as we do? Follow our social media accounts for updates throughout the week. We will be adding lots more resources and information!
